The drummer has gone home, The producer is not happy with laying down a quickie kick/snare loop, and wants a real drum groove to encourage the vocals to be live rather than mechanical and something to lock the bass to. I'm engineering for a producer on a cd of original tunes for a blues artist - laying down basic tracks and vocals. The awesomeness of Groove Monkee midi drum products. and sounds as good as anything on the radio. With the beat buddy I am using my drum plugins as a sound module pretty much and controlling the midi input with the beat buddy transmitting GrooveMonkee tracks.
The 2 together is an awesome tool in the creative process. There is a lot less to correct at the end when I use the Groove Monkee tracks in my Beat Buddy. But the Groove monkee tracks make that possible. with a few simple tweaks to the drums sometimes there is nothing to do only mix and master. The Groove monkee beats sound more like what I want to hear.when they convert their entire collection I am going to buy everything they make and use beat buddy to ruff out my tracks in the studio. The packs that I have that have been converted are my go to beats now I don't use the Beat Buddy beats much at all now. I can't wait till Groove monkee has time to make all their packs PBF beatbuddy friendly.
